Designing, producing, exhibiting, performing, writing, and publishing multimedia contents, including visual and performing arts and design, journalism, and entertainment services.

Careers in this category are linked to the humanities, including performing and visual arts and communication. People in this careers cluster share emotions, ideas, information and innovations with others, through their works and performances.

They have great sense of aesthetics. Careers in this cluster include, but are not limited to those in creative writing, landscape architecture, dance, drama, editing, film, fine art, graphic arts, journalism, comedy, fashion design, public speaking, products design, music, photography, radio presenter, and telecommunication.

There is now more demand for professional personnel with creativity, communication and entertainment skills to work in the mushrooming media houses for quality service. There are innumerable fm radio stations and also television stations being licensed annually and these offer great opportunities for employment.

Uganda has also seen the wave of need in events management, ushers services, public relations and other products and service promotion. All these call for creative people, who are able to meet the diverse needs of potential clients.

More businesses being licensed means that competition is getting stiffer by the day for those businesses. Business executives are now, therefore, spending more money than ever before in promotional activities, including corporate social responsibility functions. This means that there is increased demand for advertising services in the country.

For instance, the boom in the mobile telecommunication sector and the rapid growth in the banking sector. This is putting pressure on them to be innovative, in a manner that will attract and retain customers for their services, hence increased spending in advertisement and promotional activities

Manufacturing industries are also being set up in big numbers. These factories offer opportunities for those with creative skills and knowledge in product design that appeal to the taste and psychology of the consumers. For instance, textile industries for fabric patterns and designs; publishing industries for graphic designers while housing industries for interior and landscape designers.

Broadcaster: Works for radio and television studios. Usually specializes in a specific field such as music, talk-shows, story telling, continuity announcing, news reading, making and reading adverts, traffic control, sports reporting or weather announcing.

Camera Operator: Holds and directs the camera during filming.

Casting Director: Works with the producer and director of the casting of the production which involves choosing the most suitable actors for the roles.

Choreographer: Creates original dances or new interpretations of traditional dances.

Decor Designer: Designs television, film and theatre sets.

Model Builder (TV): Responsible for most of the models on the television or on stage, especially those used in children's programmes.

Interactive Writer Creates multimedia presentations.

Multimedia/Game writer Writes or edits scripts, information articles and narrates for multimedia products or games, including what the background or setting for the game will be and what game characters will say.

Multimedia Producer Manages multimedia development team and overall functioning of the creation and production of multimedia projects.

Sound Designer (Multimedia) Designs the sound component of the multimedia project

Audio-visual Specialist Produces and maintains audio-visual materials and operates audio-visual equipments at presentations and entertainment venues

Book Binder: Binds books

Carton and Die Maker Produces the cutting dies/patterns for cutting out the box shapes for cardboard boxes.

Gravure Machine Minder Cleans the inking systems and oil printing machines

Letter Setter Sets the letters of printing machine
